    To man the functions of both, the Flight Crew Briefing Office of Flight Dispatch providing interface with pilots; and the dispatch back-office, facilitating logistics of pre-flight documents, post-flight documents and the Briefing office resources. Operational * Maintain broad knowledge of Flight Dispatch functions including elements for regulatory compliance and company policies. * Have a good understanding of the various functions of Flight Operations and the synergies between them. * Maintain a thorough understanding of the Flight Briefing packages generated by Flight Dispatch and assist Deck crew with pre-flight documentation in a timely manner. * Employ the principles of CRM and situational awareness which forms a tenet for Flight Safety and Ontime performance (OTP). * Address flight crew queries professionally and assist appropriately in adherence to published procedures and instructions. * Comprehend the Deck crew queries with regard to weather and NOTAMs (NOtices To AirMen) accurately, and resolve the issues to the best of his/her abilities and if unable, channel it to Flight Dispatchers immediately. * Validate the contents of the Flight Briefing package generated by reviewing its parameters using other systems/Documents as AIMS (Airline Information Management System), Amadeus Altéa Departure Control messages, MDD (Maintenance deferred defects message) and MEL (Minimum Equipment List) and ensure that the discrepancies are brought to the attention of the Flight Dispatchers. * Be highly conscientious of OTP and ensure that finalised/revised Flight Plan figures such as Fuel and Payload restrictions are accurately and promptly disseminated to the appropriate stakeholders. * Provide promptly to crew, updated weather information and NOTAM that may have been received through LIDO (Lufthansa Integrated Dispatch Operation) or any other means, after the briefing package was generated. * Monitor receipt of updated MDD (Maintenance Deferred Defects list) and highlight to crew the additional defects raised, that may have direct impact on aircraft performance thereby imposing operational limitations. * Independently monitor the communication systems such as SITA and ACARS to respond and action without a delay.
