Plan and direct the design of new software products and/or product enhancements through development managers and project managers Determine the practicality of product ideas based on projected costs and sales potential Serve as a focal point for other departments on project status or other project information Monitor product development from initiation and planning through delivery and implementation Work with other executives to plan and establish product goals and development strategies Ensure that software products meet established long-range goals Understanding of business needs, including how data is used and managed, and functional design Analyze existing capabilities and identify priority gaps and opportunities Evaluate, develop, and implement design improvements and new design concepts Secure appropriate level of technical review support for project documentation Ensure that appropriate development, corporate methods, and procedures are followed Collaborate with various programming and product groups within the company to ensure the required features and modifications are included in the appropriate releases to support cross-product features Direct software development efforts with third-party vendors and/or the integration of third-party vendors’ software with company products Evaluate existing and new technology and software partners to determine the feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within company products Work closely with Product Management to improve products, quality, and processes Lead collaboration across engineering, design, marketing, sales business & executive leadership aligned to the Company SDLC Create workforce plans, including a staffing strategy that onboards and retains exceptional talent. Oversee the performance management and development process Work with Executive Leadership and peers to establish strategy and execution plans Drive and foster the company culture that emphasizes the strategy, guiding principles, and core values Collaborate with Clients, CEO & BoD to create an annual release plan that delivers on the business’s goals Effectively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and across functional groups Create and drive business processes and system improvements, using change management best practices
