In 1996, two major companies, Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz, merged into Novartis, and the Hong Kong office was established accordingly. The company's Chinese name "Nuohua" is taken from its meaning of "commitment to China, development of innovative life science and technology", which also reflects Nuohua's commitment to research and development of innovative products.
We solve the most challenging healthcare problems through scientific innovation, develop breakthrough treatments, and strive to bring them to the greatest number of people. Currently, the Novartis Hong Kong office employs about 200 people.
