In the early 70’s, Dr. Jose F. Abaño, fresh from his duty as an ear, nose and throat doctor in New York, founded Manila Hearing Aid as he searched for solutions to help his hearing-impaired father amidst the lack of state-of-the-art audiological equipment and evaluation facilities in the Philippines at the time.
